Goal: Get a Life

Every Monday I start the week with the intention of getting off my butt and living my life. But come Sunday, I realize that I've been just as unproductive as ever.

I'm starting this blog hoping that if I write these things down, maybe I will be more motivated. I'm going to try to accomplish one new goal per week and keep it every following week. If I fail at any goal I can't add a new one the next week. Hopefully this will help my goals develop into habits and I will finally be able to be doing something with my life!

Here's some goals I enjoy trying and failing to accomplish per week

- 8 cups of water every day
- Work out 40 min, 4 days a week
- Work on book for 3 hours
- Wake up before 10
- Wash face morning and night

Goals 4/2

Two goals for this week: drink at least 6 cups of water per day and work out 4 times

Taking a brief break

I’m just taking a break from this goal idea.  It’s been a little bit too much.  I think next week I’m going to change it to make the goals more reasonable.  That way I can ease myself into it.

I went from drinking almost no tea, to suddenly forcing myself to drink 7 cups of tea a week.  That’s not a good way to develop a habit of something.  So I’m going to go through and edit my goals so that I’m being more realistic.

Goal #22: Do Something Outside of Comfort Zone

There are many things that fall outside of my zone of comfort.  Including, going to the grocery store alone, putting gas in the car, talking to strangers, etc.  I just need something to push myself to accomplish these tasks.

Last weeks failures

Failed at…

Working out (SOO CLOSE, 3 days instead of 4)

Writing for 3 hours

Tea (2 cups short)

Scholarship

Read Norton’s Anthology

Stretching

(I decided that to reward myself for finishing all goals for a week, I will take off 5 failures from the list.  Hopefully this will motivate me more.

Highlights of Successful Goals: Recommendation (My friend recommended I watch Midnight in Paris at the movies, so I did, and i liked it), New Album (Classic Queen) I feel like I will now be able to distinguish Queen from other bands.)

Documentary: Coral Reef Adventure

This was an okaayyy documentary. It wasn’t overly enlightening.  But I learned that some coral reefs are beginning die, especially those close to the coast.

Books

Last weeks book: Anne of the Island, by Lucy Maud Montgomery.  I lovvvvee Anne of Green Gables, so this was an easy book to get through.

Words

Last weeks words were: Pedantic and Nervure

Pedantic: means being obnoxiously concerned with the minor details. If someone is constantly correcting something a tour guide is saying, that is a pedantic person.

Nervure: The veins on a leaf or insect.

Goal #21: Take out contacts every night

I usually try to, but this past week I left them in for two nights and my eyes were red for two days.  Horrribleeee.  So this is to remind me never to do that again.

FAAAILLL

Last week was rough.  Basically I failed every goal besides a few.

This is what I succeeded in: scholarship, one sweet, one book (Lord of the Flies), internet under hour, Brush teeth :((( I’m very upset  with myself

SO I have around 15 fails to add to my fail list!!

Recommended: True Blood

My boss at work recommended that I watch True Blood.  She gave me it to borrow.  Sooo I watched an episode.

Hmmm NOT my thing.  It had just a little bit too much sex in my opinion. I really really liked Bill the vampire though….
